Bodyscapes and Philosophy

I’ve always been envious of people who experience that sense of ‘oneness’ with the earth. Sure, I am often overwhelmed by power and beauty in nature, but as an observer rather than participant. I’m (happily) a city girl. And yet Bodyscapes from photographer Jean Paul Bourdier make me feel as though I understand all sorts of connections and universal truths. Before I start philosophizing on human/nature integration, however, let’s just take a moment to appreciate Bourdier’s clever photography skills. Beautifully-framed lush landscapes, vibrant colours, choreography that offer a unique perspective on the human form… we can all learn a few things from these pictures.

Like what you see? Head on over to Kickstarter and contribute to his book publishing campaign before it closes on August 17. We need this book in our lives, y’all.
